Hi, I’m Lydia, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor here at Processus Counseling. I actually never planned on becoming a therapist—my background is in business management. But in 2016, my life as I knew it fell apart. After spending a year walking through deep trauma with my own therapist, she looked at me one day and asked, “Have you ever thought about becoming a therapist?” I laughed. And then two months later, I applied to grad school. I went on to earn my Master’s in Counseling from Crown College.
In my work, I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches, including the Anchored Relational (formerly AIR Network) Model, parts work based on the Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and the Immanuel Approach. My goal is to meet you right where you are—with compassion, honesty, curiosity, and definitely some humor.
One of my clients once told me they think my superpower is making people cry. I like to believe it’s actually about creating space for people to feel seen, known, and loved. I bring my full self into the counseling room because I believe authenticity invites authenticity. Healing happens in connection.
